From our house, situated on a hill at the edge of the village of Šempas, you can look out over the beautiful valley and enjoy the peace and nature. Šempas is located in the Vipava Valley, close to the coast in western Slovenia. We renovated our dream house here and realized two studio apartments in 2025. Your studio has its own bathroom and kitchen and an enclosed terrace for private use. In addition, we have an orchard and garden with nice seating areas for common use. We live on the other side of the house with our dog Sjaak, with our own enclosed garden.
Nature and surroundings
From your apartment you can walk straight into the Natura2000 Trnovo area, but the village is also nearby for shopping or a drink. Take a bike ride through the valley, book a wine tasting at one of the many wineries or read a book in the orchard. Enjoy your favorite outdoor sport, take a hike and picnic in the adjacent nature reserve or indulge in culinary delights at one of the restaurants in the area. From a local inn to Michelin-starred restaurants, the choice is yours. Combine with a day at the beach, culture in a city or into the mountains? Everything is within reach.
