This nature house is located just outside the village of Louroux-Bourbonnais, in the rolling countryside of department Allier in Auvergne- France. Here we offer 2 comfortable and modern cottages which we call Le Chien (the dog) and Le Chat (the cat). These are part of 3 cottages under one roof. Mar lives in 1 cottage with her cats. Our cottages are each 70m2 in area and are fully equipped. There is a small private patio at each cottage with table and chairs and a gate to close off the garden. The cottages were already built and rented when we took this over but I really put my stamp on it. In Le Chat I have everything in shades of green and blue and Le Chien is all gray/black/white with red accents. I am proud of our cottages so of course I like them to be warm and cozy. Now I say warm, but they also stay nice and cool on hot summer days
Nature and surroundings
The cottages are on a 2.5 acre property. Part of it, about 1 hectare, is for our horses Charlie and Noraka. The rest is for our garden (over 0.5 acres) and the rest is for the common garden with several sitting areas, large fish pond, playground and swimming pool. In front of the cottages we have a mowed lawn, in the rest of the garden we mow paths to leave as many wild flowers as possible for us, the bees and insects to enjoy. We are surrounded on all sides by very large fields with mostly Charolais cows. There are good walks and bike rides on quiet country roads. Your pets are very welcome, but for the welfare of other guests, their (possibly) pets and our own 2 dogs, 9 cats, 2 ponies and chickens, we do ask that you keep them on a leash, or at least under control, in the shared garden.
