My advice would be: renovate the cottage and offer it spick and span or remove it from the rental. Value for money is far from real and a deposit of €100 out of all proportion.

Mijn advies zou zijn: het huisje renoveren en spik en span aanbieden of uit de verhuur halen.

Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is verre van reëel en een borg van €100 buiten alle proporties.

As a wedding guest, I stayed in the cottage for one night. The only pluses were the early check-in from noon, the parking space across from the cottage, and the double bed which fortunately was comfortable. There was a very foul smell in the cottage and it was not particularly clean. Upon arrival there was still toilet paper in the toilet and crumbs in the fridge. There was a lot of cobwebs in the bathroom and the water from the tap smelled like sewage. The extractor fan in the bathroom was still making noise for a long time so I could not catch sleep at first. Then I woke up a couple of times because I heard murmuring. I felt anything but comfortable. The bed was not made beforehand and there are no pillows, you have to bring your own. In my opinion, in this day and age, you can no longer rent out this kind of dated and dirty house as a guesthouse. And then also charge €60 for cleaning. I find it scandalous and never come there again!

Als bruiloftgast verbleef ik één nacht in het huisje. De enige pluspunten waren de vervroegde incheck vanaf 12.00 uur, de parkeerplek tegenover het huisje en het tweepersoonsbed dat gelukkig lekker lag. Er hing een hele vieze geur in het huisje en het was er niet bepaald schoon. Bij aankomst lag er nog wc papier in het toilet en kruimels in de koelkast. Er was veel spinrag in de badkamer en het water uit de kraan rook naar riool. De afzuiging in de badkamer maakt nog lange tijd herrie waardoor ik de slaap eerst niet kon vatten. Vervolgens werd ik een paar keer wakker doordat ik muizengetrippel hoorde. Ik voelde mij allesbehalve op mijn gemak.
Het bed was tevoren niet opgemaakt en er zijn geen hoofdkussens, die moet je zelf meebrengen. Naar mijn mening kun je dit soort gedateerde smoezelige huisjes met goed fatsoen in deze tijd niet meer verhuren als gastenverblijf. En dan ook nog €60,— aan schoonmaakkosten berekenen. Ik vind het schandalig en kom er nooit weer!

It was not very clean. We even did some dusting and polishing. Also, the freezer was not ice free. Too bad, but that didn't stop us from enjoying it anyway and thinking that it is worth repeating. Unfortunately, it was only for a weekend now...way too short!

Het was niet heel schoon. We hebben zelfs nog wat stof- en poets-werk gedaan.
Ook de vriezer was niet ijsvrij. Jammer.
Maar dat weerhield ons niet om er toch van te genieten en te denken dat het voor herhaling vatbaar is.
Het was nu helaas maar voor een weekend...veel te kort!

It was very quiet.We enjoyed the beautiful nature, such as the lake and the quiet lanes.Space enough! It was a pity though, that the Pool pavilion was so close...where we were quiet, they had a party there until late.

Het was heel rustig.
We genoten van de mooie natuur, zoals het meer en de rustige laantjes.
Ruimte genoeg!
Wel jammer was, dat het Pool paviljoen zo dichtbij was...waar wij stil waren, hadden ze daar een feest tot laat.
