Our Nature House we built in 2023 in Scandinavian style. It is located in the northwestern part of our plot (>6000m2), surrounded by trees. There is a quiet garden in front of the veranda where you can enjoy the silence, the birds, and who knows, the badger and the deer might visit the garden. A nice place to be quiet, have a good conversation, read a book. You can enjoy the view of the surroundings on a bench at the edge of the plot. You will enjoy all the privacy you need. The cottage is fully equipped, and runs on electric power via our solar panels. You can cook on an induction twin burner. Heating via the split air conditioning. There is 1 bedroom downstairs with a double bed which we can also turn into two separate beds. On the mezzanine is space to do your meditation. There is also a bed but the mezzanine is open and only accessible by a simple staircase.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in beautiful surroundings, with fields and forests within walking distance. From the garden you walk through the sandy path towards the (only!) dolmen of the province of Groningen. One kilometer away is the Noordlaarderbos, where you can walk. From there you can walk or cycle straight into Drenthe towards Zuidlaren, and the National Park Drentsche Aa. To the east of Noordlaren lies the polder where you can spot meadow birds and the white-tailed eagle. The Zuidlaardermeer is within walking distance. Zuidlaren has a cozy atmosphere with nice restaurants. The lively city of Groningen is 15 kilometers away and can even be reached by bike. There you will find plenty of opportunities for shopping, fine dining and culture.
