Villa Champallement is a Chambres d’hôtes (B&B) with a particularly beautiful garden where you can enjoy a living painting that changes color throughout the day at any time. The Maitre is a stately mansion dating from 1906 with three B&B rooms, located on the outskirts of the village of Champallement on a rocky plateau next to a centuries-old castle with a breathtaking panoramic view stretching all the way to the Morvan. The Deluxe B&B room we offer here is a cozy room with a wardrobe, a chandelier, a sitting area, a marble fireplace, and exterior shutters that keep the room cool. The room features: A large double box-spring bed (180 x 200) An entryway (8 m²) with a coffee corner. Spacious bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet, as well as a hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, and soap A charming balcony with a panoramic view and a seating area A separate storage closet for suitcases, where the luggage rack, window screen, and fan are kept. We serve breakfast and/or dinner in the cozy guest room with a wood stove and on the terrace.
Nature and surroundings
When you wake up, you can see the sun rising over the hills of the Morvan from your balcony, with the castle to your right, the forest to your left, and in front of you a wide valley through which the little Beuvron River meanders and narrow roads connect the scattered hamlets. You listen to the buzzing of insects, the chirping of birds, and the rattle of a farm cart. The Nièvre lies between the Morvan and the Loire, “the hidden gem of Burgundy.” The surrounding landscape is authentic, charming, and tranquil, with many panoramic views. A fantastic area for biking and hiking!! There’s very little traffic, so all the C and D roads form an endless network of biking and hiking trails. There are many castles to visit, as well as gardens and medieval towns and villages. Champallement is located exactly between the famous pilgrimage town of Vézelay, with its iconic cathedral, and the renowned wine town of Sancerre along the Loire. The Nivernais Canal is nearby.

• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
