Our precious stone-built vacation cottage is located in the beautiful countryside of the Marche region in Italy. The house has been in existence for around 200 years, originally as an old farmhouse. We love our house and look after it with our own painstaking handiwork. The large living room with fireplace and kitchen area offers plenty of space and a very cozy atmosphere. The two upper bedrooms are each comfortably furnished for 2 people. A further bedroom is located on the ground floor. The bathroom with shower and bathtub is also a separate room in the house. The garden with its equipment invites you to barbecue, sit together and relax. A real stone pizza oven at the rear is available for use. Everything you need for living is available, even if kept simple, this form of vacationing has always made us very relaxed and brought us closer to nature. Celebrating simplicity often brings a very quick relaxation from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounded by nature and fields, this beautiful place is relaxing from the minute you arrive. Our little house is located in the hollow of a beautiful pottery village called Fratte Rosa, surrounded by Renaissance towns such as Urbino, the birthplace of Rafael. The village can be reached on foot in 20 minutes (3 minutes by car). The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities. Hiking, cycling, cliff jumping at the Marmitte dei Giganti (20 km) or a relaxing day by the sea (30 km). The Monte Conero Nature Park (approx. 50 km) and its limestone coast with enchanting bathing spots is a scenic highlight. There are great activities for children here, such as medieval festivals, markets in the area or simply a visit to the nearby farm. We love the peace and simplicity of the cottage. After a beautiful day in nature, watching the stars in the evening while the fireflies dance around you is pure magic.
