Nature house in Wijchen

We (two friends) stayed here during the Nijmegen Four Days Marches and were warmly welcomed by Robin. It’s a nice little cottage on private property. There’s a private movie theater, a hot tub, and a small sauna. On the days we were out walking, we booked the well-prepared dinner. However, there are also some points of criticism. During the short week we were there, the power went out about four times. Fortunately, the issue was resolved each time. We couldn’t lock up the cottage because the keys had been taken by previous guests, and he didn’t feel like ordering new ones. That’s not ideal when you’re out all day or sleeping at night. The B&B is in a secluded location, but anyone can enter the property, and Robin isn’t always home. According to him, other guests had never complained about it before, but he promised to do something about it. In any case,
it didn’t happen during our stay, and I don’t think it will in the future either. In short, a nice B&B, but we won’t be going back a second time.

Wij (2 vriendinnen) logeerden hier tijdens de Nijmeegse Vierdaagse en we werden hartelijk ontvangen door Robin. Het is een leuk huisje op privé terrein. Er is een privé bioscoop, een jacuzzi en een kleine sauna. Op de wandeldagen hebben we het goed verzorgde diner bijgeboekt. Er zijn echter ook punten van kritiek. In de kleine week dat wij daar waren is de stroom een keer of 4 uitgevallen. Gelukkig werd dat steeds weer goed opgelost. Het huisje konden we niet afsluiten omdat de sleutels waren meegenomen door vorige gasten en hij geen zin meer had om nieuwe te bestellen. Niet fijn als je de hele dag op pad bent of ‘s-nachts ligt te slapen. De B&B ligt afgelegen maar iedereen kan het terrein op en Robin is niet altijd thuis. Volgens hem hadden andere gasten er nog nooit over geklaagd, maar hij beloofde er wat aan te gaan doen. In ieder geval
niet tijdens ons verblijf en ik vrees ook niet in de toekomst. Kortom een aardige B&B maar voor ons geen tweede keer.

Wonderful accommodation, the private cinema we enjoyed! So did the jacuzzi and the beautiful view. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative.

Prachtige accommodatie, de privé bioscoop hebben we van genoten! Zo ook de jacuzzi en het prachtige uitzicht. Helaas zat het weer niet mee.

Had wonderful days, beautiful view, lovely wood stove. A place to unwind!

Prachtige dagen gehad, mooi uitzicht, heerlijke houtkachel. Een plek om heerlijk tot rust te komen!

Of all comforts. Many luxuries and nature nice and close.

Van alle gemakken voorzien. Veel luxe en natuur lekker dichtbij.

Fantastic week. We all had plans but things ran a little differently so we couldn't actually get out of the cottage, but that was definitely not a punishment. Plenty of entertainment, relaxation and rest.

Fantastische week gehad. We hadden allemaal plannen maar het liep wat anders waardoor we het huisje eigenlijk niet uit konden, maar dat was absoluut geen straf. Genoeg entertainment, ontspanning en rust.
