Our vacation home is in a quiet, idyllic location on the Knoten hiking mountain (altitude 605m) surrounded by forests and meadows. In a few meters you have a beautiful view of the valley and you will find the entrances to the bike and hiking trails (also long-distance hiking and biking trails). You can also simply enjoy the peace and quiet away from car traffic. The vacation home is close to various cycle paths, some of which run over the mountain knot. Various lakes and restaurants can be reached within 5-6 km. Sights such as Greifenstein Castle or Dianaburg Castle are about 14 km away. The historic towns with the beautiful old town such as Herborn and Weilburg are about 20 km away. These cities invite you with their many different excursion destinations in the city. The interior of the cottage was very complete but the environment was disappointing. From the bedroom you could see a ruin and from the terrace you looked at the roofs of other houses. To the right were a few trees and there was no nature at the cottage. Looked messy in the area. Forest is there but then you have to walk via a reasonable climb.
De inrichting van het huisje was zeer compleet maar de omgeving viel tegen. Vanuit de slaapkamer zag je een bouwval en vanaf het terras keek je tegen de daken van andere huisjes aan. Rechts stonden een paar bomen en van natuur was bij het huisje geen sprake. Zag er rommelig uit in de omgeving. Bos is er wel maar dan moet je aan de wandel via een redelijke klim.
