In the rural village of Colméry is our cottage, with beautiful views of the hills. The nature house is a large, open loft of 80 m2, with sunny terrace and large garden, decorated with luxurious simplicity, and overlooking the grounds of 3ha (free to enter). An ideal base for those who enjoy seeking peace and quiet, reading, walking, cycling, occasionally visiting a village or town, enjoying a wine tasting, or looking at the open starry sky. With a little luck you will spot a deer or fox in the garden. The house has : WIFI, regional documentation, books (NL, FR, ENG), French billiards, darts board, board games, fan/cooling tower, fire basket/BBQ, badminton set,... Our own house is also on the property, but there is separate access and no overlooking. The church next to the loft is no longer in use (no bells ringing).
Nature and surroundings
Beautiful hilly agricultural and hiking area. Rural setting, fully managed by an organic farmer (so no chemicals). Bakery and supermarket 10 minutes away. The wine regions of Pouilly and Sancerre (Loire region) are half an hour away. The historic cities of Nevers and Auxerre are an hour away. (Near the pictures, from the flowers and cows, you will find a taste of the landscape nearby).
