Sitting on 10 hectares of fine gardens, green pastures for the horses, this charming Georgian Rectory was once owned by Angela Lansbury. It was built around 1829 and has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. There are 2 living rooms - one with a TV and one with stereo system. We have many books in the bookshelves both fiction and factual. Downstairs is a large kitchen diner with table for 6. We put the table tennis table in the original dining room so that on any rainy days, you can play to your hearts content. There is also a Croquet set which you can set up on the lawn for the sunny days! The fields are all organic - we don't use chemical fertilisers. So is the vegetable garden which is surrounded by an old wall and has lots of organic fruit and vegetables you can pick.

Nature and surroundings

The house sits in the Bridge value, with the Bride river at the back which has trout. At the side is the little Shanakill stream. The entrance to the house is girded with a large alley of old Beech trees. You can visit Lismore which is 12 miles away and has a magnificient castle. The gardens are open to the public. Cork and Blarney castle is only 40 mins away. You can go to Dungarven, a charming market town with pubs and seafront. For sandy beaches, go to Whiting Bay for the big waves, or Ballyquin beach for a more sheltered sandy beach. Both are 40mins drive. The town of Tallow 4 miles awau has Cafe Ola, a charming cafe with delicious cakes. You can go riding at the the Fermoy Equestrian centre. Or we can arrange offshore fishing from Dungarven. There is plenty to see and do
