Nature house in Waulsort

The cottage itself is very neat, cozy, and fully equipped. Almost everything you need is there. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We were bothered by the smell from the wildfires, and they even brought us an air purifier so we wouldn’t be bothered by it indoors.

Het huisje zelfs is heel netjes, gezellig en volledig uitgerust. Bijna alles is aanwezig. De eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. We hadden last van geurhinder door de bosbranden en ze hebben zelfs een luchtreiniger gebracht zodat we binnen geen last zouden hebben.

The cottage is located on a dead-end street, so there’s very little traffic passing by. It is close to other houses, but that’s hardly a bother. It’s situated on high ground and right across from a forest, near the Meuse River. A few minutes’ walk takes you to a beautiful view of the Meuse and the surrounding hills and forests. On the other side of the Meuse, there are plenty of lovely walks, especially the Cascatelles. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the banks of the Meuse. There, you’ll find an authentic cable ferry that takes you across for free, all day long. And then your hike can begin. A prime location for both cultural and adventurous outings.

Het huisje ligt in een doodlopende straat waardoor er heel weinig verkeer langs het huisje rijdt. Het huis bevindt zich wel dichtbij andere huizen, maar daar heb je weinig last van. Het ligt hooggelegen en vlak tegenover een bos, nabij de Maas. Een paar minuten wandelen en je hebt een heel mooi uitzicht over de Maas en de heuvels en bossen rondom. Aan de overkant van de Maas heb je heel wat mooie wandelingen, vooral de cascatelles. Je hoeft maar 10 minuten te wandelen tot aan de oever van de Maas. Daar heb je een authentieke overzetboot (via een kabel) die je gratis naar de overkant brengt, de hele dag door. En je wandeling kan beginnen. Toplocatie voor zowel culturele als avontuurlijke uitstappen.

It’s separate from the house, but in Belgium they don’t recycle plastic bottles or cans yet—it would make such a difference if they did.
You can be in France in 20 minutes, and they do recycle those items there, so a trip over there to check out what the neighbors do is an option; otherwise, just throw everything in with the plastic.

Het staat los van het huis maar in België maar daar doen ze nog niet aan petflessen of blikjes recycelen dit zou zoveel schelen als dit wel zo was
Je bent in 20 min in Frankrijk waar ze dit wel doen dus een trip die kant op om bij de buren te gluren is een optie en anders gooi je alles bij het plastic

What a beautiful cottage—the view of the garden, the large window overlooking the forest!
The hosts are always ready to answer any questions.
The cottage itself is practically furnished, very spacious, and has a cozy interior with an eye for detail.
The location is ideal if you enjoy hiking and want to go on adventures.
We stayed here with three adults (including our child) and brought our dog along.

Wij waren hier met 3 volwassenen( waarvan 1 ons kind) en hadden de hond mee

The house is neat and clean. It’s fully equipped. The beds are made when you arrive.
Communication with the friendly owner went smoothly via WhatsApp. I always received a very quick response to my questions.
The only thing missing was an enclosed patio. That would be nice for people with dogs, so you can leave the door open a bit more easily.
We definitely plan to come back again!

Het huis is netjes en schoon. Er is een uitgebreide inventaris aanwezig. De bedden zijn opgemaakt als je aankomt.
Het contact met de vriendelijke eigenaar verliep probleemloos via WhatsApp. Ik kreeg iedere keer heel snel antwoord op mijn vragen.
Het enige wat miste was een afgesloten terras. Dat zou nog prettig zijn voor mensen met een hond, zodat je de deur wat makkelijker open kan laten staan.
We zijn zeker van plan nog een keer terug te komen!

We spent a weekend at this beautiful house. The house is located about 100 meters from the forest, where you can go for lovely walks. There are also other beautiful nature areas in the surrounding area.

Wij verbleven een weekend in dit prachtige huis. Het huis staat ongeveer 100 meter van het bos vandaan, waar je mooie wandelingen kunt maken. Ook in de omgeving zijn nog andere mooie natuurgebieden.
