Back to basics! Are you also looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for a while? We warmly welcome you to our cozy cottage on the edge of the forest in the beautiful Veluwe region. It’s located in a small-scale park in the village center of Krachtighuizen, near Putten. An ideal place to relax, unwind, and recharge. Enjoy some time all to yourself while taking in nature, the birdsong, and the view of sheep grazing in the meadow every day. Experience the simplicity of the outdoors with us. The cottage is suitable for one or two people and features a living room/kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a bedroom with a double bed. There’s a large, sunny garden with several seating areas, including some in the shade. In a locked shed, you’ll find garden cushions and a parasol, among other things. You can also safely store your bikes here. There’s no Wi-Fi, but there’s plenty of 4G and 5G coverage. If you’d still like to watch a good show, download it to your iPad or connect your laptop to the TV screen. But better yet: listen to nature and the silence.
Nature and surroundings
There are countless walking and biking trails to explore, through the woods or across beautiful heathlands. From our cottage, you can walk or bike right into the woods. Within walking distance is, among other things, the oldest forest in the Netherlands, the Speulderbos, with its “dancing trees.” Within biking distance are the sheepfold in Ermelo, picturesque Garderen, pick-your-own gardens featuring local produce, and many other charming villages with delightful markets and outdoor cafes. Or visit the larger cities in the area for museums, theaters, or arthouse cinemas. But staying home and enjoying the cottage and the garden with a good book is also highly recommended.

The cottage was very nicely decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. I did miss having a small oven and a toaster, though. The ceiling is very low, so it's not really suitable for tall people.
Het huisje was erg leuk ingericht en het bed sliep heerlijk. Ik miste wel een oventje en een broodrooster. Het plafond is erg laag dus voor lange mensen is het niet echt geschikt.
