On the edge of the forest, overlooking the green heart of the property. This detached cottage has a location that immediately makes you quiet. The wood stove completes the atmosphere: here you can sit down with a good glass of wine and forget about time. By the way, your four-legged friend can just come along, there is even room for a dog kennel.Inside, it is tastefully and comfortably furnished with an original tiled floor and a modern kitchen that was renewed in 2019.Each bedroom on the floor has its own sink, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom is that little extra that you will appreciate first thing in the morning. Outside, a large tiled terrace with BBQ and garden furniture awaits, ideal for enjoying after a day in nature.
Nature and surroundings
The forest edge starts right behind the cottage in Izier, deep in the Belgian Ardennes. The area is part of a Natura 2000 area where forests, stream valleys and rolling meadows alternate. Step outside and follow a path into the greenery, it can go either way, and every side is the beautiful side. Hiking and cycling routes start directly from the area. For an active day, you don't have to look far, and for a quieter day, the terrace overlooking the greenery is no punishment either. Durbuy is about a 20-minute drive away. For a kayak on the Ourthe River, a local beer or a stroll through the medieval streets of the smallest town in the world.
