At the end of a dead-end street, with unobstructed views of the forest, it doesn't get quieter than this at Domaine Le Boulac. This cottage is the perfect place for those who really want to unplug. Inside, the fireplace, original tile floor and updated interior create a warm and cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is up-to-date with induction stove and even a Dolce Gusto for the coffee lover. Each bedroom has its own sink, handy if everyone wants to get up at the same time. The spacious shed is a practical bonus: bikes, hiking boots and outdoor equipment have a permanent place here. Two toilets, stair gates upstairs and downstairs and a crib that is just there, families with young children are well provided for here.
Nature and surroundings
The Ardennes are at their best here. This cottage is located in Izier, a quiet village hidden between hills and forests, far away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for a day at Durbuy if you feel like it. The area is part of a Natura 2000 site which means protected nature, rich biodiversity and trails that lure you in a different direction every time. Grab a bike from the barn and explore the rolling countryside at your own pace. Or head into the woods on foot and see where the trail leads along streams, open heaths and forest edges where it's lovely to relax. For an outing with a bit more allure, Durbuy is about a 20-minute drive away. Kayaking on the Ourthe, a local beer on a sunny terrace or just strolling through the oldest streets of the smallest town in the world. Then back to silence.
