Would you like to experience sunrise from this modern nature house in Kollum? This nature house offers an incredible view of the Kollumer Canal with sweeping vistas. When the weather is nice, many pleasure boats travel along this canal, either making a loop around Dokkum or heading toward Lauwersmeer. You can cycle there from our cottage. There are countless hiking and biking trails. You’ll be in a wonderfully central location, close to Dokkum (one of the 11 Frisian Cities), Leeuwarden, and Groningen. Kollum is located at the very tip of North Friesland. Take the ferry to Schiermonnikoog or Ameland. Bring your fishing rod, because Kollum is surrounded by water. In other words, come enjoy a wonderful stay in this fully equipped cottage, complete with a luxuriously furnished open kitchen. Relax on the corner sofa, where you can enjoy some peaceful privacy. Upstairs is the bedroom with a double box-spring bed, a lovely shower, toilet, and vanity. It offers a stunning, unobstructed view of the waterways and farmland. Bring your fishing rod—fishing spots are just a short walk away.
Nature and surroundings
This cottage is located on the southeastern outskirts of Kollum, beneath a beautiful old linden tree. It sits on the border between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland. Both provinces offer plenty of tourist activities. The nature house is just a stone’s throw from Lauwersmeer and the islands of Schiermonnikoog and Ameland. There are countless cycling and hiking trails in the area. You can rent a boat nearby and explore the immediate surroundings by water. For birdwatchers, anglers, and those seeking peace and nature, this is the perfect spot. And don’t forget to visit De Alde Fennen Nature Park near Eernewoude.

Amazing.
We came to this nature house for a small holiday. We biked from Groningen to Kollum, and spent three nights at the nature house. It is a very cozy, well-equipped and beautifully decorated cottage, and the host is very very nice. The house is located next to a canal, and from the big windows you can see a beautiful view of the farm and animals. The grocery stores are also only 4-min away for biking, it is very convenient to get anything you need. In total we enjoyed our stay very much!

• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
