Books, games and DVDs are waiting for the kids - but chances are they'll hardly need them, as a world of adventure awaits outside. Children can play freely by babbling brooks, wander through the forest or build their own tree house. The park is quiet and private, so everyone feels space. Plop down on the porch, listen to the birds and let time stand still for a moment. Wifi is available for those who need it - but honestly, you'll soon find you don't need it here.

The cottage is tucked away in Izier, a quiet village in the Belgian Ardennes and part of a Natura 2000 area, one of the most valuable nature reserves in Europe. Durbuy, known as the smallest city in the world, is just a few minutes away. Right from the door you step into nature: forest paths, fields and streams await discovery. Take time to spot deer in the morning mist, listen to birdsong or follow the water where it leads.Durbuy itself is an absolute must. Stroll the medieval streets, taste local Ardennes specialties or do a fun activity like kayaking on the Ourthe River. There's plenty for more adventurous families too: bike rentals, climbing routes and play forests are a short distance away. This place combines the best of both worlds: real peace and nature in Izier, with just enough to do for a filled family adventure.
