The pool and playground are within walking distance, so the kids are always nearby. Need a change of scenery? Walking and cycling routes start directly from the garden.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in the middle of the Natura 2000 area around Izier, one of the most valuable nature reserves in the Belgian Ardennes. Forest trails start literally at your doorstep ideal for a quiet morning walk or a longer bike ride through the hills. Keep your eyes open for deer, hares and a rich bird population that makes this area so special. About a 20-minute drive away is Durbuy, known as the smallest city in the world. Stroll the medieval streets, discover local Ardennes delicacies or go kayaking on the Ourthe River. For active families, there is plenty to choose from: bike rentals, climbing routes and adventure play forests are all within easy reach. Izier gives you the peace and quiet and space you're looking for. Durbuy gives you that little bit extra when you feel like it.
