Welcome to my self-built dream cottage! Heart of the Veluwe lies this magical place that I have built with my own hands over the past six years. All my energy, love and time is in this house. Once I wanted to wait to rent it out until it was completely finished, but now I've realized: it's never really finished! So from now on I am open for your visit! The 70m2 house is built with green building materials - there are clay walls and straw insulation. The whole interior I collected second hand, and throughout the house you will find creative surprises :) The house is a work-in-progress! For example, last summer I worked hard on the new beautiful wood facade. But it is already (quote from visitor): "The most beautiful cottage in the Netherlands!" :) Good to know: * The bed is located on the mezzanine, this requires a steep staircase! * Wifi is available, though with forest speed :) * Wood stove is available, but wood not included!
Nature and surroundings
For nature experience you actually do not have to leave the grounds with the garden of 2000m2! The serenades of the birds are phenomenal and even deer regularly pass by in the garden. If you walk down the path, you are already among countless cycling and hiking trails of National Park Veluwe. Out and about or relax in a hammock, stargazing by a campfire or just reading a book in a special place: feel free & at home - here you can do it all! A personal note: this cottage is much more to me than a place to rent. It is my intimate home-in-waiting. I love sharing it with like-minded people, but it also feels vulnerable to rent out. That is why it is important to treat the cottage and its surroundings with respect and care. I rent out my cottage because I want to continue realizing my dream. If you stay here, you'll be part of that adventure - I'm already grateful for that. Oh and feel free to ask me a question! :)

Super cozy cottage, it is special to be in a house that has many personal belongings. it is beautifully situated, with dog ideal. Walking we did from the cottage. it was quite rainy but that is not a punishment there, sitting on the couch with the tapping rain on the roof was delicious. Sleeping we did as otters, awakened by birds and sunlight made it an idyllic place. we missed in the evening just some extra curtains when you sit on the couch and the rug upstairs was loose what caused and few times heart pangs. The scary dolls in the bathroom we just put behind the painting, but these are all things that should not spoil the fun. It is definitely recommended! We were not quite clear whether we had to bring comforter and pillow as a whole or just the pillowcases, comforter cover and fitted sheet. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!
Super knus huisje, het is bijzonder om in een huis te zitten dat veel persoonlijke spullen heeft. het is prachtig gelegen, met hond ideaal. Wandelen deden wij vanaf het huisje. het was vrij regenachtig maar dat is daar geen straf, lekker op de bank zitten met de tikkende regen op het dak was heerlijk.
Slapen deden we als otters, gewekt door vogels en zonlicht maakte het een idyllisch plekje.
we misten 's avonds alleen wat extra gordijnen als je op de bank zit en het vloerkleed boven lag los wat voor en paar keer hartverzakking heeft gezorgd. De enge poppetjes in de badkamer hebben wij even achter het schilderij gezet, maar dit zijn allemaal dingetjes die de pret niet mogen drukken.
Het is zeker een aanrader!
Ons was niet helemaal duidelijk of we dekbed en kussen in zijn geheel moesten meenemen of alleen de kussenslopen ,dekbedovertrek en hoeslaken. Dit laatste is het geval.
