Welcome to my dream cottage, built with my own two hands! This magical little spot is nestled in the heart of the Veluwe, and I’ve built it with my own two hands over the past six years. All my energy, love, and time have gone into this cottage. At one point, I wanted to wait to rent it out until it was completely finished, but I’ve since realized: it’s never really finished! So starting now, I’m open to welcoming you! The 70-square-meter cottage was built using eco-friendly materials—for example, the walls are made of clay and the insulation is straw. I’ve collected all the interior furnishings secondhand, and you’ll find creative surprises throughout the house :) The house is a work in progress! For example, last summer I worked hard on the beautiful new wooden facade. But it’s already (as one guest put it): “The most beautiful cottage in the Netherlands!” :) Good to know: * The bed is located in the loft, so you’ll need to be able to climb a steep ladder to get there! * Wi-Fi is available, though at “forest speed” :) * A wood stove is provided, but wood isn’t included!

With a 2,000-square-meter garden, you don’t really need to leave the property to enjoy nature! The birdsong is phenomenal, and deer also regularly visit the garden. Walk down the path, and you’ll find yourself right in the middle of countless biking and hiking trails in the Veluwe National Park. Whether you’re out exploring, relaxing in a hammock, stargazing by a campfire, or simply reading a book in a special spot—feel free and at home—it’s all possible here! A personal note: this cottage is much more to me than just a place to rent out. It’s my cozy home-in-the-making. I love sharing it with like-minded people, but it also feels a bit vulnerable to rent it out. That’s why it’s important that you treat the cottage and its surroundings with respect and care. I’m renting out my cottage because I want to continue making my dream a reality. When you stay here, you become part of that adventure—and I’m already grateful to you for that.
