A unique combination of an ancient authentic domaine and the tranquility of nature in the immediate vicinity of Sarlat, Domme and Beynac, awarded 4. This is an ancient estate (domaine) of 4 hectares, located at the end of a forest road, surrounded the Grande Forêt de Domme. It consists of rolling land with nut trees, beech and lime trees, pasture land, a large swimming pool, a trampoline, a ping pong table, a main house and two vacation homes of old stone and with old beams, equipped with all modern conveniences and close to Sarlat and overlooking the Dordogne River. However busy the region can be in summer, here it is always quiet and you can often see deer grazing at sunrise,- and sunset. There has been a castle since the thirteenth century from which tolls were levied on boaters. Pieces of wall from that time are still visible. There are also ruins and small walls into the forest. It is our historical paradise.
Nature and surroundings
The forest is known for its edible mushrooms, there are deer, wild boar, buzzards and owls. It is always nice to come home quietly after a day enjoying the sights and activities nearby, such as canoeing on the river, cycling on the special piste cyclable, hiking, horseback riding, golf, the world famous caves of Padirac, Lascaux or La Roque Saint Christophe and the fortified towns of Domme and Monpazier. A special attraction is the Saturday market in Sarlat. The famous The famous castles of Castelnaud and Beynac have been beautifully restored. There are beautiful gardens to admire and many attractions for children in the area, such as the Parc Reserve Zoologique in Calviac. There are golf courses fifteen minutes and half an hour away, and restaurants of every quality and price range. From the small airport of Domme, fifteen minutes away, sightseeing flights can be made and hot air balloons depart from Beynac in fine weather.
