Nature house in Mediona

The pool is completely chlorine-free thanks to an ingenious natural filtration system. The house is not a traditional house, in the "shadow" of the mountain is the spacious bedroom with separate toilet partly buried in the mountain, no air conditioning needed. On the other side of the pool is the kitchen with large covered terrace and adjacent bathroom with large walk-in shower. The kitchen is well equipped with induction, dishwasher and a large fridge-freezer. On the terrace is a large BBQ and ditto table with fine chairs. There are sunbeds, table tennis and everything you need to relax; and there is also very fast internet, to book your visit to Sagrada Famalia or Montserrat. Jeroen is an excellent host you can rely on! And the tomatoes from our own garden were delicious, thanks Jeroen for a perfect two weeks.

Het zwembad is volledig chloorvrij door een ingenieus natuurlijk filtratiesysteem.
Het huis is geen traditioneel huis, in de 'schaduw' van de berg ligt de ruime slaapkamer met apart toilet deels ingegraven in de berg, geen airco nodig. Op het dak een gezellig klassiek terras.
Aan de andere zijde van het zwembad ligt de keuken met groot overdekt terras en aangrezend de badkamer met grote inloopdouche. De keuken is goed ingericht met inductie, vaatwasser en een grote koel-vries combinatie. Op het terras staat een grote BBQ en dito tafel met fijne stoelen. Daarnaast zijn er meedere ligbedden, tafeltennistafel en alles wat je nodig hebt om heerlijk te relaxen; en er is ook zeer snel internet, om je bezoek aan Sagrada Famalia of Montserrat te boeken.
Jeroen is een uitstekend gastheer waar je op kunt bouwen! En de tomaten uit eigen tuin waren heerlijk, bedankt Jeroen voor een perfecte twee weken.

There is absolutely nothing standard about this pool and cottages, and that's a good thing! Overlooking the castle of Mediona a little lower on the mountain you have a half Olympic size pool all to yourself to quietly swim or cool off. It's nice and quiet, there is an occasional car passing by the neighbors, but most noise are the swallows that come to drink with ten at a time ;-) The house is located halfway up the mountain outside the village and the road to it is quiet, to the supermarket you do occasionally, which is not within walking distance (10 minutes, supermarket 24 minutes). The water from its own source is fresh and completely safe to drink, there are no houses, pastures with cattle or businesses above the source that pollute the water. The castle was unfortunately closed for renovation, but you can easily walk there, there are also excellent hiking trails nearby and you are within an hour in Barcelona by car.

Er is helemaal niets standaard aan dit zwembad en huisjes, en dat is goed! Met uitzicht op het kasteel van Mediona wat iets lager op de berg ligt heb je een half Olympisch zwembad helemaal alleen voor jezelf om in alle rust een baantje trekken of lekker af te koelen.
Het is heerlijk rustig, er komt af en toe een auto voorbij van de buren, maar meeste lawaai zijn de zwaluwen die komen drinken met tien tegelijkertijd ;-)
Het huis ligt halverwege de berg buiten het dorp en de weg er naartoe is rustig, naar de supermarkt doe je af en toe, die ligt niet op loopafstand (buurtsuper 10 minuten, echte super 24 minuten). Het water uit eigen bron is heerlijk fris en volledig veilig drinkbaar, er zijn geen huizen, weilanden met vee of bedrijven boven de bron die het water vervuilen.
Het kasteel was helaas dicht voor renovatie, maar daar kun je zo naartoe lopen, verder zijn er prima wandelpaden in de buurt en je bent binnen een uur in Barcelona met de auto.
