The house is at about 700m altitude on the river Giffre at the edge of the woods.The mountain behind the house is the 'Mont Orchez' 1347m high where there are several hiking and mountain biking trails.On the other side of the river is the Marcelly 2004m,this is the highest point of the ski area Praz de Lys.From the living room you look towards the mazot (Savoryard barn) to the Marcelly.Also the famous ski areas: Portes du Soleil and Grand Massif are within 20 min by car.Mieussy is a village known for paragliding, World-cup competitions are held here.
