Nature house in Luz

Waste separation is not facilitated, missed opportunity.

It was quiet though and plenty of nature in the immediate area, but the road is close by.

Het was wel rustig en in de directe omgeving genoeg natuur, maar de weg ligt dichtbij.

The grade is an average of our deception of the functionality of the Nature House, and our appreciation for the way the owners provided a solution to still enjoy spending 12 days in Luz.

Het cijfer is een gemiddelde van onze deceptie van de functionaliteit van het Natuurhuisje.
En onze waardering voor de manier waarop de eigenaren een oplossing hebben aangereikt om toch 12 dagen met plezier in Luz te verblijven.

The cottage is smaller than we expected . It looks beautiful but it is not functionally furnished with everything in 1 small room. As a cooking enthusiast the kitchen was very disappointing while a fully equipped kitchen was promised. i would update the description and make it more realistic. Now a bit thick. For example, there is no stove, dining table or place to store luggage. Not convenient for us seniors. The road across the yard is unpaved and full of holes and stones. Fortunately, landlords Franc & Isa (who themselves reside in the Netherlands) helped us by making available another cottage in their yard with more functionality where we spent wonderful days. Nice cooking, hiking, and rested despite the storm hail and rain a nice vacation. The place is really good! The babysitters of Franc & Isa their house took fantastic care of us and showed us the way. We appreciate this very much.

Het huisje is kleiner dan we hadden verwacht . Het ziet er prachtig uit maar het is niet functioneel ingericht met alles in 1 kleine ruimte. Als kookliefhebber viel de keuken erg tegen terwijl een volledig ingerichte keuken is beloofd. ik zou de beschrijving aanpassen en realistischer maken. Nu een beetje dik aangezet. Er is bv geen gasfornuis, eettafel of plek om bagage op te bergen. Voor ons senioren niet handig. De weg over het erf is onverhard en vol gaten en stenen.
Gelukkig hebben verhuurders Franc & Isa (die zelf in Nederland verblijven) ons geholpen door ons een ander huisje op hun erf beschikbaar te stellen met meer functionaliteit waar we heerlijke dagen hebben doorgemaakt. Lekker gekookt, gewandeld, en uitgerust ondanks de storm hagel en regen een fijne vakantie. De plek is echt goed!
De oppassers van Franc & Isa hun huis hebben ons fantastisch opgevangen en de weg gewezen. Dit stellen we zeer op prijs.

Lovely time, the 5 days in the beautifully decorated cottage. Few tourists in the area in winter. We were there at the beginning of January. During the day it was sunny. The first night only took some getting used to, it was suddenly cold because it was -1 degree outside and we didn't want to turn on the electric heater at night. We were lucky to have brought our own sleeping bag otherwise the bed would have been really too cold. During the day we had some great walks in the area and on the west coast of the Algarve.

Heerlijke tijd, de 5 dagen in het prachtig ingerichte huisje. Weinig toeristen in de buurt in de winter. We waren er begin januari. Overdag was het zonnig. De eerste nacht was het alleen even wennen, het was ineens koud omdat het buiten -1 graden was en we ‘s nachts niet het elektrische kacheltje aan wilden zetten. We hadden gelukkig zelf een slaapzak bij ons anders was het bed echt te koud geweest.
Overdag heerlijk gewandeld in de omgeving en aan de westkust van de Algarve.
