Since March 2025 in Murcia, next to Andalusia, at the foot of the mountains, close to the sea and the bustling city of Cartagena in southern Spain, we have a completely new, spacious cottage for two people. This chalet, built of wood (but stone inside) is pleasant, very comfortable and cozy and has magnificent views over the countryside of Cartagena! It has a sunny living room, bright and modern kitchen, separate bedroom with double bed, two air conditioners, shower, toilet and lovely bathtub. On two sides of your cottage is a spacious terrace for a nice breakfast or a good glass of wine. Ideal also as a "writing cottage"! For a refreshing splash there is a swimming pool with a view. Around your cottage you will find a green rock garden and the peace and quiet to read a good book. On our site you will also find two other nature houses. In addition, we receive up to three campers per day in our botanical garden with fruit trees. We can provide rental bicycles.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in the protected natural park Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso y Roldan. You sit, sleep and "live" at the foot of mountains up to about 650 meters. From our property you walk straight into nature and you can make many attractive walks. Not only short rounds, but also serious climbs and long day trips. We provide them on request (Komoot) and are happy to help you with beautiful routes. Maps are at your disposal. By bike you are in 25 minutes in the old city of Cartagena or at the beach of El Portús. Mountain and gravel bikers can also enjoy the many unpaved trails in the area. A half-hour walk away is the small but lively village of Perín. Six days a week a 'Club Social' is open where you can eat delicious tapas and drink a nice glass of beer or wine. Groceries can be bought in Canteras, a fifteen-minute drive away. Of course there is a bottle of Spanish wine waiting for you. We would love it if you would come and stay with us!
