Since March 2025 in Murcia, next to Andalusia, at the foot of the mountains, close to the sea and the bustling city of Cartagena in southern Spain, we have a new, spacious cottage for two people. This chalet is made of wood (but inside stone), very comfortable and cozy and has a magnificent view over the countryside of Cartagena! It has a sunny living room, bright and modern kitchen, separate bedroom with double bed, two air conditioners, shower, toilet and lovely bathtub. On two sides of your cottage is a spacious terrace for a nice breakfast or a good glass of wine. Ideal also as a "writing cottage"! For a refreshing splash there is a pleasant swimming pool with view and sun terrace at your disposal. Around your cottage you will find a green rock garden and the peace and quiet to read a good book. On our grounds you will also find two other nature houses: Casa Alba and Muela. In addition, we receive up to three campers per day in our garden. We can provide rental bicycles.
Nature and surroundings
Our nature house is located in the protected natural park Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso y Roldan. You sit, sleep and "live" at the foot of mountains up to about 650 meters. From our property you walk straight into nature and you can make many attractive walks. Not only short rounds, but also serious climbs and long day trips. We provide them on request (Komoot) and are happy to help you with beautiful routes. Maps are at your disposal. By bike you are in 25 minutes in the old city of Cartagena or at the beach of El Portús. Mountain and gravel bikers can also enjoy the many unpaved trails in the area. A half-hour walk away is the small but lively village of Perín. Six days a week a 'Club Social' is open where you can eat delicious tapas and drink a nice glass of beer or wine. Groceries can be bought in Canteras, a fifteen-minute drive away. Of course there is a bottle of Spanish wine waiting for you. We would love it if you would come and stay with us!

This was one of those places you instantly want to come back to again and again. A cozy cabin in the mountains, peaceful surroundings, incredible fresh air, and amazing hiking trails right nearby. Morning coffee with mountain views, scenic walks during the day, and complete relaxation in the evenings — the perfect reset.
The balance between nature and comfort was just perfect: the sea was only a short drive away, and it was absolutely stunning — crystal clear, beautiful, and unforgettable. The most beautiful place we have had in Spain!

Super nice house; very comfortable, modern furnishings and nice and spacious for two. What we also really liked was the beautiful view of the surroundings at the back of the house, for miles around. We also liked that there was enough privacy in and around the house partly due to its location; slightly higher and on the edge of the small park. Direct surroundings also pleasant; quiet roads for cycling and a village a few kilometers away where you can eat and drink during the day in a kind of village house (really Spanish) in a friendly atmosphere. Furthermore, Cartagena offers plenty of opportunities to visit (several times).
Superfijn huis; zeer comfortabel, modern ingericht en lekker ruim met zijn tweeën. Wat ons ook erg beviel was het schitterende uitzicht over de omgeving aan de achterkant van het huis, kilometers ver. We vonden het ook fijn dat er genoeg privacy was in en rondom het huis mede door de ligging; iets hoger en aan de rand van het kleinschalige parkje. Directe omgeving ook aangenaam; rustige wegen om te fietsen en een dorpje enkele kilometers verderop waar je overdag in een soort dorpshuis (echt Spaans) kan eten en drinken in een gemoedelijke sfeer. Verder biedt Cartagena genoeg mogelijkheden om (meerdere malen) te bezoeken.

We felt very welcome and the hosts, Roel & Petra, were super nice, helpful and welcoming. We could ask them anything and also got good tips and advice for what to do in the area. Very nice location in the campo, close to everything like the mountains or the beaches. Beautiful villages and Cartagena also nearby. We voelden ons zeer welkom en de hosts, Roel & Petra, waren super leuk, behulpzaam en gastvrij. We konden ze alles vragen en kregen ook goede tips en adviezen voor wat te doen in de omgeving. Ik heb het als zeer prettig ervaren, wat een geweldig stel.
Erg mooie locatie in de campo, overal toch nog dichtbij zoals de bergen of de stranden. Mooie dorpjes en Cartagena ook dichtbij.
Kortom wij hebben erg genoten en wil zeker nog eens terug!

The site itself is spacious, quiet and beautifully overgrown with greenery. Also a lovely (small) pool where you can cool off. The houses are separated from each other, so you really have your own privacy. The house was very nice and cozy, and very clean and neat. Both front and back seating, so 2 terraces. We were very content! Everything is also present in the cottage: in the kitchen / bathroom, all the trimmings. Even a nice bathtub.

De huisjes liggen van elkaar af, zodat je echt je eigen privacy hebt.
Het huisje was erg mooi en gezellig ingericht, en heel schoon en netjes.
Zowel voor als achter zitjes, dus 2 terrassen. Wij waren erg content!
