This cozy nature cottage on the Wohldenberg offers pure peace and nature. Perfect for 1-2 people, with sofa bed, bed, kitchenette (sink, fridge, 2 induction hobs, mini oven), dining area and private bathroom (shower/WC). Surrounded by an idyllic garden with over 200-year-old oak trees, it is an ideal retreat for nature lovers. For families or groups of up to 4 people, the neighboring "tea house" can also be rented. There is also plenty to experience in the surrounding area. Wohldenberg Castle can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. From the 32-metre-high tower (donjon), which is open to the public, you can look far into nature. The leisure park (with environmental education) and Derneburg Castle (with art museum) are 2 and 6 kilometers away respectively. Hildesheim and the Harz Mountains are also not far away.
Nature and surroundings
The Wohldenberg is forested. The forest consists mainly of centuries-old copper beeches, hornbeams and oaks. Some areas are designated as natural forests and are not used for long-term ecological forest development. The area at the foot of the Wohldenberg is characterized by the wide valley of the Nette and the tributary valleys of the Beffer and the Sennebach. The watercourses predominantly have near-natural water structures. In some places in the Sennebach, fossils are easy to find.
