Our trapper's hut is a basic wooden construction, with a 140cm bed and 2 bunk beds. A small table and 4 chairs inside. Outside there's a picnic table and a fire pit. There's no heating, but the toilets and showers are for use by other campers and included in the price. You have direct access to the forest and a small river. bed linen and bath towels are your own responsibility, as are kitchen utensils. cooking is not permitted inside the cabin. dogs are not allowed and of course it's non-smoking. the cabin is located in a small campsite and there are 4 other unusual accommodations. there's a freezer available for the campsite and the cabin.
Nature and surroundings
located in a small family campsite, we favor a return to nature and calm. Campfires are allowed. There are plenty of walks in the area. La Roche-en-Ardenne also boasts a castle and a game park. Bastogne and Durbuy are also close by. a chance to recharge one's batteries with a minimum of comfort. no light pollution, ideal for stargazing or even, since 2024, watching the northern lights. in the tourist season, the campsite is more crowded. in September, many stag bellowing walks are organized, as well as mushroom walks.
