This nature house offers an authentic stay for five to six people in a recently renovated 18th century barn, located in a two-hectare property of nature with private outdoor pool. It is pleasant to stay in our gîte all year round thanks to underfloor heating and wood stove in the winter and cooled floors in the hot summer period. The cottage is located in a very quiet location in the small hamlet 'Au Saule' with only 3 houses about 2 km outside the village of Villesèque and 15 km from Cahors. The spacious living room offers a wide view of 100% nature. You can regularly see deer or other wildlife passing by. The living room has a wood stove, flat screen TV with decoder, sound bar and DVD player. Both bathrooms have a walk-in shower, sink, toilet and storage space.
Nature and surroundings
The gîte has a large, shaded terrace on the south side and a smaller terrace on the north side. From the terrace on the east side you can see the sun coming up. The gîte is located in the Quercy Blanc near the grand Causses du Quercy natural park, a unique heritage, awarded by Unesco. 'Blanc' refers to the white limestone from which the houses and villages are built. This region is also known for the Cahors Malbec wine with its unique character.The quiet environment around the residence invites all kinds of activities in nature such as hiking, cycling, horseback riding, canoeing and swimming.With its exceptional heritage, Quercy also offers a remarkable wealth of sites to discover: small medieval towns and remarkable villages, remnants of the Hundred Years War and the Wars of Religion, castles and mansions, museums dedicated to visual arts or history, etc
