Stay in the old boiler room/laundry room of a farmhouse that’s over 130 years old. Beautifully renovated and cozy. Located on the outskirts of the village. The space features a kitchenette with a small oven, microwave, electric kettle, hot plate, etc. Upon request, you may also use the kitchen elsewhere in the house. Unwind, enjoy a short bike ride or hike in the nearby nature, or sit on the terrace in the sun. Unwind in the sauna or jacuzzi. These can be booked in advance or on the spot for a fee. The jacuzzi is in the garden, and the sauna is indoors with either an infrared or Finnish option. Sauna sessions are limited to 30 minutes max, and jacuzzi sessions to 45 minutes. Usage times are to be arranged with the host. Now with a private entrance and your own private shower/toilet! We enjoy chatting with our guests. So if you’d like to join us, feel free to stop by for a cup of tea or coffee.
Nature and surroundings
Visit the beautiful town of Dokkum or bike through the nature reserve in De Falom. The Lauwersmeer area is also a lovely place to bike or take a walk in the village or in the woods in Driesum. The house(s) was a former boiler room but cozy and spacious enough for a B&B with in the hallway private toilet for guests and a shared shower. Residents are very hospitable people and we will definitely return.
