We built this light, A-shaped dwelling entirely ourselves, using second-hand materials. We've turned this 20m2 kAbAnA into a cosy little nest where you know at a glance that you'll feel right at home. A kitchenette with everything you need (gas cooker, crockery, cool box...) is waiting for you to prepare summer salads using the very best local produce that you'll find at nearby markets. On the mezzanine floor, a 140 cm futon will give you a good night's sleep! (Weight not to exceed 180kg). The outdoor bathroom with dry toilet and shower tray is located 15m from the kAbAnA. You'll only get cold water from the tap, but you can heat it up. For environmental reasons, please use only biodegradable products (toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, etc.). Towels provided. We will do our best to respond positively to all your requests.
Nature and surroundings
Welcome to kAbAnA in the Quercy countryside. Set in a 5-hectare plot, there are no overlooked buildings or power lines to obstruct your view; only the crowing of birds and roosters, the barking of deer and the bawling of sheep to disturb the silence and calm that this place has to offer. kAbAnA is energy self-sufficient with a solar panel, so you won't find any electrical appliances such as coffee makers, food processors, irons or hair dryers.... But enough for lighting, portable charging or computers. However, for safety reasons (power failure, lack of sunshine), it is possible to have electricity via our personal system, which is larger. We also live in a 50m2 self-built light habitat. It's 50m from the kAbAnA, but you have your own entrance. Nature lovers will find a wide choice of hiking, climbing, canoeing, medieval villages and abbeys nearby.
