Our vacation home in the Bavarian Forest is a former farmhouse in Bernried/Lower Bavaria that is over 150 years old. It lies completely alone and quiet on the edge of the forest - on a sunny south-facing slope with a view of the surrounding meadows, forests and mountains - surrounded only by pure nature. The quaint and rustic house is a dream for nature lovers - whether for couples to relax and get together, for the whole family or for a time with friends. You'll find plenty of space to talk, play, read or just sit in the sun, listen to the birds or go hiking right from the front door. The whole house is yours alone - no one else is there. Access from the village via a short, steep, but asphalted private road. On the first floor our house has a living room, kitchen, bathroom with shower and WC and a bedroom with 2 beds. Upstairs there are 2-3 further bedrooms - accessible via a steep staircase.
Nature and surroundings
The Bavarian Forest Nature Park covers an area from the Danube to the border ridge with the Czech Republic. Our house is situated on the south-western edge and is therefore ideal for excursions into the endless forests and mountains of the Bavarian Forest or to the Danube with its oxbow lakes, riparian forests and interesting towns and monasteries. You can go hiking or start mountain bike tours directly from the front door. If you are looking for more entertainment or culture, our house is very conveniently located despite its secluded location: - highway A3 - 12 km - the Danube - 12 km - the nice shopping town Deggendorf - 15 km - the world cultural heritage Regensburg - 70 km - the 3-river-city Passau - 70 km - monastery Metten, monastery Niederalteich, glass blowing, forest top path etc....
