In the open country of the Northeast Polder stands one of the first farms of the polder built in 1949. Our farmhouse is in a beautiful location overlooking the culturally historic former island of Schokland. This world heritage site is characterized by the historical monuments on it, but also by the surrounding natural grounds that were created there. Part of the shock concrete barn is furnished as an apartment with a view of Schokland. The apartment is made of straw and loam which gives a special atmosphere. Our nature-friendly garden is freely accessible to our guests. There are ponds, an apiary, a vegetable garden and fruit trees. There is always a nice spot to be found in the garden. Making a campfire is no problem.
Nature and surroundings
In the garden, of course, there is plenty to do with a beautiful sunset in the evening. World Heritage Site Schokland is within walking distance of the apartment. Within a radius of 20 km there is plenty to experience. Urk the former fishing village, Netl the Wildest garden, Kampen the old hanseatic city, Museum Nagele and Pantropica. The National Park the Weerribben and Giethoorn are not far from us. Enjoy the beautiful Northeast Polder.

We had a lovely week in the apartment in the best spring weather - perfectly adequate for 2 people with a dog. Despite the rural surroundings, the nearby provincial road N352 is very noisy during the day. The many blooming tulip fields in the near and far surroundings made up for this. The close location to interesting places is very nice. Due to the surrounding farmland, agricultural machinery is of course sometimes to be expected, potatoes were laid during our stay.
Wir hatten bei bestem Frühlingswetter eine schöne Woche in der Ferienwohnung - für 2 Personen mit Hund völlig ausreichend.
Trotz ländlicher Umgebung ist die nahe Provinzialstraße N352 über Tag sehr laut.
Dafür entschädigten die vielen blühenden Tulpenfelder in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung.
Die nahe Lage zu interessanten Orten ist sehr schön.
