In the open country of the Northeast Polder stands one of the first farms of the polder built in 1949. Our farmhouse is in a beautiful location overlooking the culturally historic former island of Schokland. This world heritage site is characterized by the historical monuments on it, but also by the surrounding natural grounds that were created there. Part of the shock concrete barn is furnished as an apartment with a view of Schokland. The apartment is made of straw and loam which gives a special atmosphere. Our nature-friendly garden is freely accessible to our guests. There are ponds, an apiary, a vegetable garden and fruit trees. There is always a nice spot to be found in the garden. Making a campfire is no problem.
Nature and surroundings
In the garden, of course, there is plenty to do with a beautiful sunset in the evening. World Heritage Site Schokland is within walking distance of the apartment. Within a radius of 20 km there is plenty to experience. Urk the former fishing village, Netl the Wildest garden, Kampen the old hanseatic city, Museum Nagele and Pantropica. The National Park the Weerribben and Giethoorn are not far from us. Enjoy the beautiful Northeast Polder.
