Sospel was for us the ideal base for a wonderful week: beach, resorts and beautiful mountain walks all within driving distance. The canyoning trip on the last morning led by Renier was the icing on the cake.

We had a great week at Renier and Gerbrich's cottage. It is at the end of a dead-end gravel road on a hill, feels remote and free but is still close to Sospel. The path to it is a little exciting the first time with the car, but once you've driven it a few times it's not too bad. The cottage is basic but the bathroom is really top notch! We lived mainly outside on the beautiful covered terrace, with great views. The top bunk bed requires some athletic skills to get in and out, but it's fine.Renier and Gerbrich, and not to mention the super sweet dog Roya, are very welcoming and helpful, but also just let you do your thing. The cottage is completely off grid, which I really appreciated. A place to return to.
