Nature house in Bussang

This cozy cottage is located next to the source of the Moselle River, in the middle of the forest, 3 km from the village of Bussang in France. The chalet is located on the GR531 trail, halfway up Mount Le Drumont (820 m) in the High Vosges, on the edge of Alsace, in a paragliding, skiing, and hiking area. The cottage is heated by a wood pellet stove (electric) and has parking right outside the door. In Bussang, you’ll find restaurants, shops, and a bakery. There’s also the Théâtre du Peuple, a unique theater that hosts a cultural program every year in July and August. The cottage measures approximately 27 m² and includes a kitchenette, living area, bedroom, shower, and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop. Basic cooking utensils are provided, as well as coffee, tea, and basic spices. The bedroom has a spacious double bed. The cottage accommodates 2 people.

The cottage is accessible by car, motorcycle, or bicycle. There is a bus from Remiremont to Bussang. For a fee of 7 euros (Bussang) and 15 euros (Fellering Elise), you can be picked up. From the Netherlands, drive through Luxembourg, Metz, Nancy, and Epinal, then head toward Mulhouse on the N66. After passing a few villages, you’ll naturally enter Bussang; at Garage De La Moselle, turn left onto the “Route de la Source.” At the end, turn left uphill onto “Route du Drumont,” and the entrance is 450 meters further on, on the left in the curve by mailbox No. 3: Le Petit Gazon. From there, it’s another 200 meters to the cottage. Guests are warmly welcome and will receive a key, a brief tour, and instructions upon arrival. They can park in front of the cottage and, in winter, at the entrance or at the bottom of the hill in the “De la Source” parking lot. You can take a refreshing dip in the Moselle River, which meanders through the property. There are also plenty of spots on the property itself to practice yoga or simply relax.
