Britt and Marc found their dream house in northern Piedmont and transformed it into this Nature House. Besides 3 bedroom/bathroom combinations, which were painted in typical Piedmontese style, there is a living area with luxurious kitchen and sitting area with wood stove. From there you can access a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy a view of nature, the hamlet of Valle, the village of Favaro and some hills. Larch wood was used for the renovation and the authenticity of the former cowshed and hayloft was preserved in rock walls. All bathrooms have a walk-in shower and for the bathroom cabinet wood from an old floor was used. Around the house there are more terraces and a pergola with a "campa da bocce". In the garden surrounding the house, several fruit trees were planted and vegetables and herbs are grown in a vegetable garden. Guests can also use a barbecue and firebowl. Wood is free of charge.
Nature and surroundings
This Nature House is located at 700m altitude close to the road from Biella (at 6km) to Sanctuario di Oropa (at 6km). You can get there by car or via a beautiful hiking trail from Valle. It is an impressive place of pilgrimage where you can admire the majestic basilica and black Madonna, have something to eat and drink, and from where you can make beautiful walks to higher peaks with lakes and mountain huts. In Biella you have plenty of sights, stores and restaurants, and in an hour you can be in cities like Turin or Milan. For skiing you can go to Bielmonte (50min) or Valle d'Aosta (1,5h). Within walking distance are numerous opportunities for bathing or swimming in the Oropa but also in nearby valleys you can do so. Sporty cyclists can indulge in the climbs nearby. But perhaps the most important thing is that you can quietly enjoy the fauna and flora and all the possibilities that this nature house has to offer.
