Excursions in the direct surroundings: Hulst has a lot to offer for the lover of historic town centers. In Terneuzen you will find the Portaal van Vlaanderen a chance to see one of the largest sea locks up close. The Drowned Land of Saeftinge a unique nature reserve with an area of 3000! hectares. The Westerschelde where you can walk along the sea and enjoy the fresh air.In the area of Axel, Clinge the Braakman and Belgian Stekene there are several beautiful forests that are definitely worth a walk.Big beautiful cities just across the Zeeland Flemish border as Ghent, Antwerp or Bruges are wonderful to visit or enjoy shopping.
