Welcome to our nature house, a special historic vacation home that was home to the local miller and his family for centuries. This monumental farmhouse was completely restored between 2018 and 2020 by Stichting Kempens Landschap. All authentic elements were retained, so you can experience the charm of yesteryear combined with the comfort and facilities of today.This 10-person vacation home has 3 cozy bedrooms and 2 modern bathrooms, perfect for families or groups. Enjoy pure quality time in the cozy living room or dining room with old fireplace, and prepare delicious meals in the spacious, modern and fully equipped kitchen. During the winter months you can relax by the fireplace, while the cozy upstairs room offers a nice place to retreat with a good book. On the terrace you can enjoy a barbecue. Nature and surroundings
The Beddermolen used to belong to the abbey of Tongerlo and is only a stone's throw away. Created in the 15th century, the mill property is a fine example of a typical Kempen mill property of yesteryear, hidden in the greenery, of which unfortunately not many remain. The property, consisting of a wooden windmill, mill house, stable, barn and bakery, is protected heritage. Its location next to a wheat field and vast fields completes the picture. Every first and third Sunday of the month, the mill is open to the public. Baking workshops are also organized. The property is located on the edge of the landscape park and nature reserve De Merode, known for its beautiful forests, and wonderful hiking and biking trails. In the vicinity you will also find the beautiful Norbertine abbeys of Tongerlo and Averbode.
