Nature house in Heesselt

Check-in went smoothly, the cottage was very clean and modern. Actually everything we needed (and more) was there. We used the stove outside with the wood that was waiting for us. All in all very cozy, check-out was also top-notch, everything could be done independently. Contact with the landlord was also pleasant and clear. Great experience!

Inchecken ging vlot, het huisje was erg netjes en modern. Eigenlijk was alles wat we nodig hadden (en meer) aanwezig. We hebben zelf nog even de kachel buiten gebruikt met het hout dat voor ons klaar stond. Al met al erg gezellig.
Uitchecken was ook top geregeld, alles kon zelfstandig. Het contact met de verhuurder was ook prettig en duidelijk. Fijne ervaring!

It was very quiet, we were given all the space. In terms of nature it was fine, but personally not quite my thing. Lots of birds to see in the Heesseltsche floodplain, but for the rest not really a very "natural" feeling. It probably didn't help that during our stay a lot of work was visible on the surrounding dike. For the rest it was fine!

Het was erg rustig, we kregen alle ruimte. Qua natuur was het prima, maar persoonlijk niet helemaal mijn ding. Veel vogels te zien in de Heesseltsche uiterwaarden, echter voor de rest niet echt een heel 'natuurlijk' gevoel. Waarschijnlijk hielp het niet mee dat tijdens ons verblijf veel werkzaamheden zichtbaar waren aan de omringende dijk. Voor de rest was het prima!

very nice! definitely come back here. but then in spring/summer then I can imagine that t even nicer with that lake where you look out and the trees green again.

maar dan in de lente/zomer dan kan ik me voorstellen dat t nóg fijner is met dat meertje waar je op uitkijkt en de bomen weer groen.

in bed here in the morning you can look outside at the pheasant passing by, the green woodpecker that came to surprise us and all kinds of small birds.... The beds are super good, the curtains are blackout and outside is quiet. ideal!
kitchen is particularly well equipped and a milk frother is definitely a plus:) the lighting in this cottage is also very atmospheric and underfloor heating so great on the bare feet through t house. everything clean and in order. outside a large wheelbarrow full of wood and kindling for the wood stove outside. at dusk outside by the fire under the large porch was really nice. so everything to perfection.

in bed kan je hier s'ochtends naar buiten kijken naar de fazant die voorbij komt, de groene specht die ons kwam verrassen en allerlei kleine vogeltjes....
De bedden zijn super goed, de gordijnen zijn verduisterend en buiten is het stil. ideaal!
keuken is bijzonder goed uitgerust en een melkopschuimer is zeker een pluspunt:)
de verlichting in dit huisje is ook heel sfeervol en vloerverwarming dus heerlijk op de blote voetjes door t huis.
Alles schoon en op orde.
buiten een grote kruiwagen vol hout en aanmaakhout voor de houtkachel buiten.
Bij schemering buiten bij t vuur onder de grote veranda was echt heel mooi.
dus alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd.
