The vacation home is located halfway up a hill in a small hamlet, with a beautiful view of the valley.It’s located in the Périgord, in the hilly countryside of the Dordogne, Lot, and Lot-et-Garonne regions. Down below, within walking distance, is a lovely lake (Lac de Marou) with small beaches, where you can enjoy swimming and fishing. (see photos) The vacation home is beautifully situated in the hilly countryside between the Dordogne and Lot regions, surrounded by forests, streams, and open fields. It is a typical French vacation home, built of French natural stone, featuring a pigeon loft that has been converted into a spacious bathroom. It also features a living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom, and a separate guest room. The living room opens onto a lovely garden with terraces through French doors. The entrance is set in a romantic courtyard, shaded by a beautifully blooming Albizia tree.

This nature house is located on a small dead-end road, and it’s very quiet there, but it’s not isolated. There are very friendly French neighbors nearby. Roe deer roam the grounds, owls nest in the area, and wild boars forage at night. The location is at the foothills of the Massif Central, with hills about 250 meters high, and a little further on, the landscape becomes rolling. Grand Randonnées trails run through the area. Down below is a small lake fed by two streams from uninhabited valleys, so the water is very pure. There are small beaches, perfect for swimming. The area is home to many bastides—fortified hilltop towns—each with its own unique character. The wine regions of Cahors and the Dordogne are nearby. The Lot River is 7 km away. The area is steeped in history. The village of Cuzorn, situated on a small river 2 km away, has a nice restaurant.
