Our africa hut is made of wood. It has a sofa bed for 2 people and 2 bunks for 2 children. There is a small table and chairs inside. An electric socket. Outside there's a bbq and a place to make a campfire. Showers and toilets are in the campsite at a distance of 80 m. There are 3 trailers together and pitches for caravans and tents. There is no kitchen, dishes are washed in the campsite. You need to bring your own bed linen and the same equipment as for camping (crockery, camping gas, sleeping bag). Showers are free. There's a freezer on site, and we recommend that you bring toilet paper and warm comforters, as the nights are chilly.
Nature and surroundings
the hut is located in a small family campsite on the edge of a forest, with a small stream running through it where children can play. The camping principle is back to nature, so we prefer quiet, light pollution-free evenings, so don't forget a flashlight. Bbqs and campfires are allowed. You have direct access to the forest and numerous walks. The town of La Roche-en-ardenne is 5km away, Durbuy 30km and Bastogne 60km. There's a bakery 500m from the campsite. In summer, there's a small refreshment bar on the campsite terrace, and wifi is available at reception. There are more people and children during school vacations. With a bit of luck, you can observe wild animals near the campsite. During the tourist season, the campsite is more crowded.
