We are Bob and Ingrid. We bought this cottage a year ago and moved to the beautiful Lot-et-Garonne region in France. This is a farmhouse dating from 1796 with several outbuildings, located in the countryside, surrounded by farmland, on nearly 2 hectares of land. There’s a magnificent centuries-old oak tree on our property. In addition, our land is home to many different (fruit) trees, and from all the buildings you’ll enjoy stunning views and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Last year, we completely renovated our first gites ourselves, using as many of the original materials as possible to create a rustic, charming home. And we think we succeeded! We’ve planted a vegetable and flower garden, and we’re delighted with the bountiful harvest. The first batches of jams and chutneys are already ready for our guests to enjoy all these delicious treats and take a look around our garden or the farmland!
Nature and surroundings
It is located in the Lot-et-Garonne department, which is representative of southwestern France. With its rolling hills, beautiful fortified towns, medieval castles, fine cuisine, and village festivals. Here, the trend is “slow living,” far removed from mass tourism and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Would you like to leave your daily routine behind for a while and simply enjoy yourself with us? We’d love to welcome you and share wonderful moments with you. Within less than an hour’s drive, there are plenty of options available to you. Whether you’re adventurous, curious, athletic, or a foodie—or if you just love to relax and do nothing at all—everything is possible in the area. Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €250.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.

- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
