Welcome to our authentic, tastefully renovated farmhouse from the early 19th century! In a beautiful, quiet location with lots of privacy you can enjoy the fresh, pure air and the wide view over the green hills of the Ardèche. It is a wonderful area for walking and cycling; in the evening the silence is almost tangible.Layout of the house Ground floor Bright, cozy kitchen (24 m²) with dining table, gas stove with oven, double sink, antique wood stove, large refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Adjacent is a cozy living room (27 m²) with wood stove, sofa, two armchairs, dining table and French doors. Through the hallway you reach a separate toilet and the bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine. Upstairs Two bright bedrooms overlooking the garden. Master bedroom: 33 m² with double bed (200x140cm) Second bedroom: 14 m². with 2x single bed (200x90cm)
Nature and surroundings
Environment The cottage is located in the impressive landscape around Mont Mézenc and the Gerbier de Jonc, the source of the Loire. In the area you can enjoy hiking, cycling and horseback riding. About a 15-minute drive away is Lac Devesset, a large lake where you can swim, pedal boats and windsurf. For small-scale cooling, there is the Doux River at Labatie d'Andaure (Plan d'Eau). Villages and towns Saint-Jeure-d'Andaure is a 3-minute drive away, with a cozy restaurant. Saint-Agrève (12 minutes) has a large Monday market, supermarkets, bakeries and terraces. Lamastre (30 minutes) offers a nice Tuesday market. In many villages there are summer brocantes, open-air concerts and performances in small churches. Food & shopping In Saint-Agrève, Le Chambon-sur-Lignon and Lamastre you will find supermarkets, stores, terraces and affordable restaurants. Medieval Desaignes (20 minutes) is a must, with, among other things, vegan restaurant L'Âne Têtu.
