Our vacation home is located on the “peninsula” between the Elahuizen marina and Lake “De Fluessen.” Our lakehouse is right on the water, giving it a unique location and view. You can enjoy water sports from both inside and outside. From the living room and the terrace, you’ll have a fantastic view of the entire “De Fluessen” lake. During the day, you can fully enjoy the activity on the water, and in the evening, the beautiful sunsets. From the other terrace, you’ll have an unobstructed view of the Elahuizen harbor. This place is especially perfect for those who love peace and quiet, reading, doing absolutely nothing, water sports, and going on bike rides and/or hikes. Our vacation home is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with all modern conveniences. It consists of a cozy living room (including a Smart TV and stereo system), an open kitchen (including a dishwasher, oven, and Nespresso machine), a wood stove, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a separate toilet, and three bedrooms.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in Elahuizen, right on the Fluessen River in Southwest Friesland. Here, you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet, the open spaces, and the varied, unique landscapes with views of the water and the Gaasterland Forest. You’ll find lakes, moraines, mounds, and cliffs. In addition to boating, this area is also perfect for hiking and biking. There are bird-watching spots near the house. This is truly a lovely cottage for nice weather—it’s great to enjoy the fantastic view from the lounge sofa outside.
