In the middle of the nature reserve the Klyndobbe, with a beautiful view over the lake, stands the yurt on our farm. Cladding with canvas and a double layer of wool felt provides cosy warmth even in winter. Up in the roof is a large round window through which you can see the stars at night and the sunlight comes in during the day.The Yurt is equipped with a comfortable double bed, a cozy sitting area with wood stove, a dining area and a kitchen with running water, stove, refrigerator, Coffee maker, kettle and everything you need to cook. Neat bathroom facilities are available within walking distance. A portable toilet is available in the yurt for the night. In our edible yard you can (depending on the season) gather the vegetables for your own meal.
Nature and surroundings
At the edge of National Park De Noardlike Fryske Wâlden, near Leeuwarden, lies the Bûtefjild. This 319 hectare nature reserve has an enormous variety: wet grasslands, open water lakes and extensive reed beds. All these different types of landscape make it a unique habitat for plants and animals. For example, the otter swims freely here. You can explore this undiscovered area with its mysterious regional stories by boat or canoe, by SUP, by bike or on foot. Nature lovers will find plenty to enjoy in the Bûtefjild. Take your binoculars and go out, with a bit of luck you will spot the kingfisher, great egret, bittern and the redshank. In the free app 'Izi Travel' you will find the most beautiful walking, cycling and sailing routes of the Bûtefjild.
