Nature house in Wânswert

Great location for exploring the area. After a long day back in the cozy cottage or with a glass of wine on the waterfront terrace. Bit of fishing, top.

Prima locatie om de omgeving te ontdekken. Na een lange dag terug in het knusse huisje of met een wijntje op het terras aan het water. Beetje vissen, top.

We had a wonderful vacation in Casa Caro. Beautiful cottage on the water, very quiet and excellent base to discover (western) Friesland. We were warmly received and nothing is too much for the friendly owner. The cottage is modern and nicely decorated, it really lacks nothing. Absolutely recommended.

Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in Casa Caro. Mooi huisje aan het water, heerlijk rustig en prima uitvalsbasis om (west) Friesland te ontdekken. We zijn hartelijk ontvangen en niets is de vriendelijke eigenaresse te veel. Het huisje is modern en netjes ingericht, het ontbreekt werkelijk aan niets. Absoluut een aanrader.

Plus points, mosquito nets for the windows, everything clean, fresh and new.Air conditioning downstairs in the sitting area. Minuses; * In the description it says that you are almost directly on the Dokkummer Ee sit.That is true, the terrace which belongs to the cottage, located on a branch of this, about 20 m away from the Ee.But if you sit on this terrace you can only see a very small part of the boats that pass by, the view is obstructed by another boat is still there and bushes.From the cottage you can not see anything at all, there is a hedge for.You really have to have good weather and then still go out somewhere to view passing boats.
* The air conditioning in the sitting area downstairs is fine, unfortunately it is still very hot upstairs where you sleep.The cool air from the air conditioning is not there.We were there when it was about 25 degrees during the day.Opening windows opposite each other did not really help.Tip, take a fan with you!

Pluspunten;horren voor de ramen,alles schoon,fris en nieuw.Airco beneden in het zitgedeelte.

Minpunten;
* In de omschrijving staat dat je vrijwel direct aan de Dokkummer Ee zit.Dat klopt ook,het terrasje wat bij het huisje hoort,ligt aan een zijtak hiervan,op zo'n 20 m afstand van de Ee.Maar als je op dit terrasje zit kan je maar een heel klein stukje zien van de boten die langskomen,het zicht wordt belemmerd doordat er nog een bootje voor ligt en struiken.Aan de Ee zelf kan je niet zitten,dat vonden wij echt een tegenvaller!
Vanuit het huisje kan je helemaal niets zien,daar staat een heg voor.Je moet het echt hebben van mooi weer en er dan zelf alsnog op uit gaan om ergens langsvarende boten te bekijken.
* De airco in het zitgedeelte beneden is fijn,helaas is het boven waar je slaapt alsnog erg warm.De koele lucht van de airco komt daar niet.Wij waren er toen het overdag zo'n 25 graden was.Ramen open zetten tegenover elkaar hielp ook niet echt.Tip;neem een ventilator mee!

Het is een heerlijk stil en rustig plekje.
