We had a great time. You’re staying in a small harbor on a canal. A small road also runs along it. Every now and then, a few cars or cyclists pass by. On the main canal, you do get to see all the boats passing by, but it doesn’t bother you. When we asked, the landlord even let us take her boat out for a spin. We were then able to stop at a small family-run brewery in the next village, where we enjoyed great food and good drinks. I highly recommend the whole experience.

We had a wonderful vacation in Casa Caro. Beautiful cottage on the water, very quiet and excellent base to discover (western) Friesland. We were warmly received and nothing is too much for the friendly owner. The cottage is modern and nicely decorated, it really lacks nothing. Absolutely recommended.
