This former tenant farmhouse, located on a quiet lane at the edge of the village, became the country home of a French family. The layout of the space is unusually generous, out of date. The house was later renovated in several stages. In the veranda one can enjoy the surroundings from breakfast. There is a large lounge and a library. One bedroom is on the ground floor. Upstairs, the ceiling is very low, but even there space is an asset. The house overlooks an exceptionally large garden that extends to the banks of the Aisne. The garden is 1/2 ha, part of it is treated as a meadow, until the beginning of June there is high grass there, another part is rather an English garden. The house is located in the Champagne-Ardenne region at the edge of the Meuse region.
Nature and surroundings
The region, known as "the Argonne" lies on the edge of the Meuse and in the Champagne-Ardenne region and is loved by nature lovers, bird watchers, as well as plant lovers. Several publications can be found about it. The core of the area is Belval Lake, which is only a few kilometers away as the crow flies. The heavy clay has preserved the area from unsustainable agricultural practices. Today there are still many ponds, meadows, vast forests. In any direction one can drive as much as 40km, without entering the "inhabited world."
