The valley of the Dordogne River is famous for its picturesque villages and its varied landscape of forests, meadows, hedges, hedgerows and streams. What could be nicer than exploring this fairytale area from the comfort of your own petit château? There is one nature house on the Manoir Issartoux estate that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. From the breakfast table in the cozy living room, you can observe the birds in the forest. In the tower there are two cozy bedrooms, each with a lovely double bed. The bathroom has a shower and toilet, and the separate kitchen is fully and carefully equipped. The 9 x 4.5 meter pool is exclusive to our guests - a place where you can enjoy undisturbed peace and complete privacy. The accommodation is equipped with a stable, high-speed fiber optic connection, television and streaming service.
Nature and surroundings
Cross the quiet country road and you are on ancient paths, wedged between hedges and hedgerows, which take you past water mills and country houses. You walk through flowering meadows and enchanting hillside forests with springs and streams. At the end of the hike you get fresh bread from the baker who still bakes in a wood-burning oven. In spring the grounds are colored with hundreds of blooming orchids, and in summer the butterflies steal the show - wonderful to be enchanted by their colorful splendor on a lazy afternoon in the flower meadow. And if you feel like culture, you don't have to go far. Within a radius of just a few kilometers of Issartoux are several of the most beautiful villages on the prestigious list Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, visiting towns or just lounging by the pool, you can do it all here.
