The chalet offers a spacious living/dining area, where you can enjoy the fireplace in a cozy atmosphere. The high-quality, natural character is maintained with real wood, ceramics and stone. On the first floor, a wood-burning stove spreads its cozy warmth. From the seating area, you can let your gaze wander into nature. The sauna invites you to linger. A large terrace with dining area and valley view as well as cozy corners in the garden complete the whole. Behind the property begins the forest, after a steeper ascent of about 200m you reach the hiking trails. From here you can hike to the Rennsteig, to Oberhof to the sports facilities or to our mountain huts. A sauna in the basement invites you to relax after hiking. The vacation home is located on the edge of Zella-Mehlis directly on the hiking trail. From here you have a beautiful view of the valley and the surrounding mountains. To relax after a strenuous hike, you have your own seating area with garden furniture and barbecue fireplace as well as a sauna. Zella-Mehlis is a state-approved health resort. The house is only 10 minutes away from the idyllic Ruppertstal in one of the most beautiful valley basins, embedded in the highest mountains of the Thuringian Forest south of the Rennsteig. The local mountain of Zella-Mehlis is called Ruppberg, is 866 m high and a popular excursion destination with a partly managed mountain hut. The nature reserve Vesser, the Rennsteig and meadows with a variety of orchids invite you to hike. Fire salamanders, deer and wild boar live in the immediate vicinity. Despite the location on the edge of the forest, local transport, restaurants and shopping facilities can be reached in 10 minutes.
