Just unwind in the Veluwe, in the middle of the forest? This cozy wooden cottage is fully equipped: a kitchen with gas burners, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and Senseo. Upstairs is 1 bedroom with a 2-bed with electric blanket. There is also a sofa bed that can serve as a single or double bed. Comforters and pillows are provided; bed linen is optional for rent. Downstairs is air-conditioning-heating: quickly warm in winter and cool in summer. The bedroom has a separate heater. Please note: the stairs up are a bit cramped and steep, and therefore less suitable if you have difficulty walking. The bathroom is modern and equipped with heating, washing machine and dehumidifier. Bath towels can be rented separately. There is a secretary to work on and high-speed WiFi with fiber optics. For relaxation: a Google TV, books, games and a puzzle. Outside is a picnic table. There is a charging point for cars (€0.50 / kWh). There is a private sauna (to be booked in advance).
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is situated on 850 m² of private, fenced land and offers a lot of privacy, especially in the sheltered backyard. Easily accessible via the A50: in 10 minutes you are in Apeldoorn and in 20 minutes in Arnhem. In wet weather the highway can be heard. Especially on weekends when the weather is nice, some traffic may be noticeable nearby during the day, but in the evening the peace always returns. Hiking trails are within walking distance. You can walk here for hours in silence and seclusion, with a chance to encounter deer, wild boar or even badgers. If you leave some nuts outside, squirrels, jays, woodpeckers and other birds will gladly come by. In spring, the nest boxes are actively used by tits. The cottage is in the woods, so there are sounds of animals and birds. The area is perfect for cycling, with junction routes and constructed MTB trails. The flowering heather is a beautiful purple from mid-August to late September. National park De Hoge Veluwe is only 15 min away by car.
