We have completely renovated the former pigsty of the farm in recent years and furnished it as a lodging; it will be rented out from 2025 to people who want to enjoy Almen and the Achterhoek. The lodge is part of our farm and has all the facilities you need for a longer stay. Light, air and space! With a view through the orchard on the Spitholter bridge over the river Berkel. The ideal place if you want to walk, cycle or enjoy reading a book. Our nature house is 75 m2 and has a spacious kitchen with a dining table. A living room with a sleeping area. Nature and surroundings
There is plenty to do and experience in the area around Almen. You can follow the footpath along the river Berkel to Natuurmonumenten's Velhorst estate. Beautiful location, surrounded by nature and close to the idyllic village of Almen. We enjoyed the cycling opportunities right from the cottage. We also enjoyed the cottage itself—it was nice and bright and spacious. The only downside for us was that at this time of year, it was already light at 4:00 a.m., and it was impossible to block out the light in part of the sleeping area.
