The authentic Ardennes house was built in 1891 in the typical style of the region. The accommodation was recently completely renovated to meet the latest comfort standards. The decor is tasteful and cozy so you can fully relax. We installed an energy efficient heat pump as chauffage. During the renovation we used as many local materials and sustainable techniques as possible, such as finishing the inside walls with clay, which naturally provides a healthy indoor climate and helps to insulate. It also creates an authentic look.There is a small garden and a cozy terrace so it is pleasant to be outside. There is a BBQ that can also serve as a fire basket for those beautiful moments around the fire. The garden is being redesigned by landscape architect Atelier Aha. Important: you must bring your own bed linen. Consumption of water & electricity not included.
Nature and surroundings
From the cottage you are immediately unleashed for a nice walk or bike ride between the fields and in the woods. Trail runners will not be bored either and can, if desired, overcome many altimeters. Nearby you can admire beaver dams. In the spring and autumn you have a good chance of seeing and hearing migrating cranes. The house is located about 1.5 km from the center of Vielsalm with its beautiful lake and all necessary amenities, such as a train station, supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, ATMs, tourist office, charging stations, ... In the wider vicinity there is the ski slope of Baraque Fraiture, the waterfalls of Coo, PlopsaCoo amusement park, ... You can also visit the special landscape of the High Fens or soak up the atmosphere of the eastern cantons. A little further away, Durbuy, La Roche-en-Ardenne or Bastogne are also worth visiting. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is also not far away.
