A unique and charming country villa that is rented out in its entirety and accommodates 8 people. The house is located in the beautiful, unspoiled countryside of Poitou-Charentes. There is a family room with two beds, and the other two rooms have space for a travel crib. There are three bedrooms and three fully equipped bathrooms. A true paradise for children, and a bonus: pets are allowed (max. 2). A house that’s ideal for families or groups of friends. The house is completely private; there are no other guests on the property. You’ll have the entire 7-hectare property—including a saltwater pool (10x4) and a 3,000 m² fishing pond—all to yourselves!! The house is full of character and has a rich history, as a famous painter once lived there. There is a very large, cozy living area with a big fireplace and a separate dining room. There is a beautiful Mediterranean courtyard, a covered BBQ area, and 3 terraces with stunning views.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounded by nature and nestled among the rolling countryside, the property is situated on a 7-hectare property. The small river “Le Payroux” flows through our garden. We have several spots on the property where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. You’re sure to spot wildlife here! The property features a large fishing pond (3,000 m²) where you’re welcome to fish. Several hiking and biking trails start right from the property. On the beautiful “Vienne” River, you can go whitewater kayaking or fishing. Near our B&B, there are several abbeys to visit. Or would you like to taste the delicious Pineau des Charentes at one of the many distilleries in Cognac? There are several charming markets and flea markets in the area. In the surrounding area, you can visit many small towns such as Confolens, Chauvigny, Montmorillon, Poitiers, and Limoges...Or the historic site of Oradour-sur-Glane. There’s also plenty for the kids to do: Monkey Valley, Giants of the Sky, Futuroscope, and more.

A lovely B&B where you immediately feel at home! The area is all peace and quiet you can really leave the hustle and bustle and hectic life behind you. Enjoy the fine surroundings, sit by the natural pond or sunbathe by the pool. And if you get up early you might spot a wild boar or a deer. morning breakfast outside including fresh fruit and a boiled or fried egg. evening there is a possibility after consultation with the host and hostess a hot meal to eat.

The hostess provides (possibly) the appetizer and side dishes. Vegetables and herbs come from their own garden!
